  • Publication number: 20230181369
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an ophthalmic surgery apparatus for making an incision in ocular biological tissue such as a cornea or a crystalline lens. The apparatus includes: a laser source suitable for delivering a beam of laser pulses; an optical focusing system for focusing the beam of laser pulses on a focal point in the ocular biological tissue; an optical system for moving the beam of laser pulses, configured to move the focal point along a predetermined three-dimensional trajectory; a control unit configured to control the laser source, and the optical system for moving the beam of laser pulses, in such a way that the parameters of the beam of laser pulses and the parameters of the optical system for moving the beam of laser pulses are adjusted according to the position of the focal point in the trajectory during the incision.

  • Publication number: 20220055326
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and device for manufacturing an ophthalmic lens for eyeglasses intended to be placed in front of an eye of a wearer, the ophthalmic lens having a desired optical function including a dioptric function adapted to a prescription of the wearer. The method includes: providing an optical element made of a first material having a first refractive index, the optical element being intended to be modified to manufacture the ophthalmic lens; providing data relative to the modification of the optical element enabling to obtain the desired optical function; determining at least one zone in the first material based on data; and modifying the refractive index of the first material to form a pattern in the determined zone with focused femtosecond laser pulses according to data so as to obtain an ophthalmic lens having the desired optical function.

  • Publication number: 20180214306
Abstract: An ophthalmic surgical apparatus includes: a laser source emitting a beam of one picosecond to one nanosecond pulses; an optical system focusing the beam on a focal point; and a system for moving the focal point along a predetermined path. The laser source generates the beam, focused next to a surface of the anterior segment of the eye, the focal point located at a distance from an optical axis of symmetry of the anterior segment of the eye. The system for moving the beam includes a single degree of freedom of rotation about an axis of rotation to move the focal point along a curved path located in an annular area about the optical axis of symmetry of the anterior segment of the eye. The ophthalmic surgical apparatus has a numerical aperture limiting the geometric optical aberrations at the focal point and on the entire curved path.

  • Patent number: 8785852
Abstract: The present invention relates to a terahertz imaging device comprising a terahertz source, a converter for converting terahertz radiation into thermal radiation, and a thermal detector. The converter has at least one zone sensitive to terahertz radiation, designed to absorb the terahertz radiation and vconvert the absorbed radiation into heat. This sensitive zone is close to a reference zone, of known absorption capacity, and the thermal detector is designed to measure the heat generated by the sensitive zone relative to the heat generated by the reference zone.
