  • Patent number: 9134450
Abstract: A cold atom gravity gradiometer system includes a laser source that generates a laser beam that propagates along a propagation direction. The system further includes a reflector that reflects a portion of the laser beam and transmits another portion of the laser beam (the transmitted portion). A second reflector spatially separated from the first reflector along the propagation direction reflects the transmitted portion of the laser beam.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 7, 2013
Date of Patent: September 15, 2015
    Assignee: MUQUANS
Inventors: Bruno Desruelle, Philippe Bouyer, Arnaud Landragin

  • Patent number: 6674773
Abstract: A multi-wavelength Raman laser comprising a Raman fiber forming part of an optical ring, preferably most parts of which are formed by optical fiber. The ring includes a periodic filter selectively transmitting optical power at a number of equally spaced wavelengths corresponding to the wavelengths of the laser output. Radiation at the signal wavelengths propagating in one direction on the ring is tapped onto an output fiber. An optical isolator is formed either in the ring or fiber tapped into the ring to suppress radiation propagating in the reverse direction on the ring. A frequency shifter may be inserted into the loop to prevent power from concentrating in a single mode, thereby allowing wide band lasing. A band pass filter may be inserted into the loop to restrict the lasing band.

  • Patent number: 6548809
Abstract: An electromagnetic device for producing cold neutral atoms having a ferromagnetic structure with four poles disposed in the same plane XOY excited by main coils (the quadrupole) supplying the main excitation, and two additional poles (the dipole) oriented along an axis Z and perpendicular to the plane of said four poles, the poles being magnetically coupled by one or more yokes.
