  • Patent number: 11950001
Abstract: A head-mounted device can be automatically calibrated using an image sensor and at least one sensor system for detecting translation and rotation of the head-mounted device. Parameters under which the image sensor operates can be automatically calibrated when a detected translation remains below a predetermined translational threshold and a detected rotation remains below a predetermined rotational threshold for at least a predetermined period of time. The head-mounted device can be used by a medical professional in a surgical procedure.

  • Publication number: 20240071632
Abstract: A method for configuring videoconferences for medical procedures, and specifically for an improved invitation management method for remote experts, is disclosed. Remote users can be added to a videoconference by a medical user in a sterile environment, such as an operating room. The medical user can participate in the videoconference. The medical user uses a wearable, hands-free image sensor, such as smart glasses.

  • Publication number: 20240073353
Abstract: Capturing, masking and transmitting video feed from a medical unit in a videoconference can be performed with one or more remote users and preferably a local user in proximity to the medical unit. The method includes steps for the identification of the medical unit being used, creation of masks suitable to mask patient information, overlaying said mask to the original video feed and providing a single masked video feed. A system can be suitable to connect to receive input from a medical unit, apply the abovementioned method and provide the produced masked video feed to a videoconference system.

  • Publication number: 20230129308
Abstract: Automated user preferences can be applied on head-mounted devices, such as smartglasses. A head-mounted device is configured for this purpose. Upon recognizing a three-dimensional orientation of the head-mounted device as a three-dimensional orientation for which an associated set of parameters is stored, the parameters associated with the recognized three-dimensional orientation for the image sensor are automatically loaded and set.
