  • Patent number: 9757071
Abstract: Systems and methods for suppressing electrical noise in an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal obtained by at least one electrode and displayed on an ECG monitor are disclosed. The system includes a conductive material distinct from the at least one electrode and configured to contact a surface of a patient, and filtering circuitry connected in series between the conductive material and ground. The filtering circuitry may be configured to filter to ground the electrical noise present within the patient before it is received by the at least one electrode and is prevented from distorting the ECG signal that is displayed on the ECG monitor.

  • Patent number: 9039592
Abstract: A device for delivery of a radiopharmaceutical and, in some embodiments, delivery of a pharmaceutical agent are provided herein. A fluid path set comprising a confluence valve, a four-way valve, and one or more tubing sections which are designed to place some combination of a radiopharmaceutical source, a medical fluid source, and a pharmaceutical agent source in sterile fluid communication with a patient or a waste receptacle. Also provided are holders for the fluid path set, and a sterile fluid delivery kit comprising the holder and fluid path set. A fluid delivery system may accept the holder with the fluid path set installed and various sources of radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and medical fluids. The fluid delivery system allows for automated mixing and delivery of exact amounts of these agents to a patient while improving efficiency and safety, and reducing waste.

  • Patent number: 7283860
Abstract: An injector system for injection of a fluid medium into a patient within an electromagnetic isolation area. The injector system includes a powered injector, a system controller therefor, and a plurality of communication units. The powered injector is positioned within the isolation area. A first communication unit integral with the powered injector enables the first communication unit and the powered injector to be moved as a unit. The system controller is positioned outside the isolation area and has a second communication unit integral therewith. An intermediate communication unit ensures communication between the first and the second communication units and therethrough between the powered injector and the system controller using an authentication technique therewith. The first, second and intermediate communication units are adapted to communicate by transmission of radio frequency (RF) energy. The RF energy is chosen to avoid interfering with the operation of MRI scanners.
