  • Patent number: 8821090
Abstract: The invention relates to a dowel that is composed of a strand arrangement comprising at least one first strand (12) which extends along a longitudinal axis (L) and at least one second strand (14) which extends at an angle (Y) to the at least one first strand (12) and intersects said at least one first strand (12) at intersection points. The at least one first strand (12) and/or the at least one second strand (14) is/are wound around the longitudinal axis (L) at a certain distance (171, 172) while the at least one first strand (12) is connected to the at least one second strand (14) at the intersection points. The strand arrangement is embodied such and/or is made of such a material that the strand arrangement can be expanded at an angle to the longitudinal axis (L). Such a dowel has the particular advantage of evenly distributing the pressure which acts upon the wall surface (102) of a bore. A single-size dowel can be used for several screw diameters.

  • Patent number: 5014946
Abstract: A holding, retaining and adhering means comprises a holding member characterized by a flexible plate connected to the bottom surface of a comparatively rigid holding member at a fastening point located at an inner surface of the flexible plate. The flexible plate is adaptable to an unevenness of surface upon which it is placed such that when a tilting or tipping force is applied, a drawing-off force is likewise applied to the rigid holding member.

  • Patent number: 4793714
Abstract: Apparatus for mixing two fluids, which could be a gas and a liquid or two liquids, comprises a planar distribution outlet for the gas or one of the two liquids closing an otherwise airtight chamber and a vibrating membrane as a wall of the chamber. Tbe distribution outlet may itself be a vibrating perforated membrane.

  • Patent number: 4098021
Abstract: A container for rooted plants, seeds, seedlings or bulbs, made of corrosion resistant material, provided with a plurality of openings in its wall surfaces, open at the top. The size of the container and the wall openings is designed to permit nutrition of the plant from within and without the container when this is filled with a nutrient medium and set in an environment of nutrient medium. The girdling of roots is prevented. The size of the container and the wall openings are sufficiently small and rigid to prevent the plant from developing a root system that would permit the plant to grow beyond dwarfed size and to prevent an appreciable proportion of the roots from penetrating the walls.A method for growing dwarfed plants employing the container is described.

  • Patent number: 3987387
Abstract: The specification describes a transformer comprising two windings coupled by a magnetic circuit inductively with each other and a high voltage insulating body insulating the windings from each other. The insulating body has two blind holes spaced apart and ending in it, a third blind hole connecting their inner ends and running perpendicularly to them, a recess running at a distance from the third blind hole and connecting the first two blind holes, and a through hole running substantially perpendicularly to the blind holes and which passes through the zone delimited by the blind holes and the recess at a distance from the blind holes and the recess. The one winding surrounds the zone mentioned and the magnetic circuit runs through the through hole.
