  • Patent number: 8200430
Abstract: In a method for providing integrity information for users of a global navigation system, which comprises several space vehicles like satellites transmitting information to a device for position detection, the transmitted information comprises first information from the global navigation system about the accuracy of a signal in space error SISE of a faulty space vehicle, and second information whether or not the global navigation system assesses the faulty space vehicle as faulty. The invention is based on the assumption how exact a fault can be detected, so that performance the global navigation system can be increased; and no unfounded assumption is used which improves the quality of service.

  • Patent number: 7595750
Abstract: A receiver (R) for use in a user mobile terminal (U) in a satellite positioning system having a constellation of satellites (S) in which the receiver (R) acquires data from a satellite related to the position of the mobile terminal (U). A MEMS device (M) is incorporated in the receiver (R) and is adapted for detecting the absolute value ({circumflex over (V)}u) of the speed of the mobile terminal (U) and subsequently providing said value to the receiver (U). Means are provided for computing, by or for the receiver (R), the value corresponding to the vector components (Vux, Vuy, Vuz) of the speed of the mobile terminal which in turn make possible the Doppler effect related to the users speed is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6417799
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of locating a jammer (14) of a satellite telecommunications system (10). To locate the jammer, at least two of the following three measurements are performed: a measurement of the difference between the instant of arrival at the telecommunications satellite and at a detection satellite (16) of signals transmitted at the same time by the jammer (14), the detection satellite being used solely for detection purposes; a measurement of the difference between the frequencies received by the telecommunications satellite and by the detection satellite, for a signal transmitted by the jammer; and an interferometric measurement of the angle between a direction associated with the detection satellite and the straight line between said satellite and the jammer (14).

  • Patent number: 6181275
Abstract: A method of locating a receiver in a navigation system comprising a constellation of satellites transmitting signals, includes the steps of: measuring pseudo-distances between the receiver and the satellites from the signals received from the satellites, measuring pseudo-speeds between the receiver and the satellites from signals received from the satellites, and computing the position of the receiver from the combination of measured pseudo-distances and pseudo-speeds. The position of the receiver is computed by minimizing the matrix of covariance of the measured pseudo-distances and pseudo-speeds. This provides an accurate position of the receiver in a simple manner, in particular for a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit.

  • Patent number: 5271036
Abstract: A method for recognizing modulation of radioelectric transmissions from instantaneous spectra of transmission observed in a determined frequency band by a Fast Fourier Transform spectrum analyze is disclosed wherein the method involves the calculation of a plurality of parameters for each transmission spectrum line which is observed. The parameters include the calculation of a mean amplitude of all the lines k of the spectrum contained in the determined frequency band and the calculation of a signal-to-noise ratio as well as a standard deviation in amplitude of each line of the spectrum. Also calculated is a coefficient of correlation COR(k,k) of amplitude of each line k with the homologous lines of the transmission spectrum contained in the determined frequency band.
