  • Publication number: 20100208773
Abstract: A filtering device based on an active transconductance filter includes auto-calibration means, the principle of calibration consisting in slaving the power supply current for the filter as a function of the phase shift between a second signal shifted by a first predetermined phase shift with respect to a periodic reference signal, and the output signal of the filter in response to a first signal shifted by a second predetermined phase shift with respect to the periodic reference signal, the slaving tending to minimize the phase shift between the output signal of the filter and the second signal.

  • Patent number: 6675659
Abstract: To monitor the operating state of a composite structure formed from at least two different materials and subject to a uniform force or load over its entire surface, the deformation at the interface between the two materials is measured. A comparison with a reference quantity of the structure, normally produced by the force applied thereto, indicates the operating state. When the composite structure forms the wall (14) of a reservoir (10), monitoring takes place in an instrumentation box (30) joined to the reservoir. When a critical threshold is exceeded, an alarm indicator (32) is triggered on the box (30).

  • Patent number: 6440083
Abstract: Apparatus provides an output signal characteristic of the geometry of a confined volume. There is a conduit with an open first end for exchanging acoustical energy with the confined volume. An electroacoustical transducer is coupled to the conduit for launching acoustical energy into the conduit towards the opening in the confined volume producing an incident wave and a reflected wave to form a wave field representative of the geometry of the confined volume. In one embodiment, the acoustical energy is launched into a sidewall of the tube. At least first and second pressure-wave-sensing transducers are mounted along the length of the conduit in spaced relationship for providing first and second transduced signals representative of the wave field at spaced locations in the conduit. A processor processes the first and second transduced signals to provide an output signal characteristic of the geometry of the confined volume. In one embodiment, the processor provides high-pass filtering of the impulse response.
