  • Patent number: 5557649
Abstract: A circuit configuration being made by differential technology for dividing a clock signal with switchable divider ratios of 4/5 by emitter coupled logic, includes first, second and third series-connected flip-flops each having an output, a data input and a clock input. The output of the second flip-flop is coupled to the data input of the third flip-flop, and the clock inputs of the first, second and third flip-flops are acted upon by a clock signal. A first AND gate is connected upstream of the first flip-flop and has a first input being acted upon by a control signal for switching over the divider ratio, and a second input being acted upon by an inverted signal from the output of the third flip-flop.

  • Patent number: 5495241
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for reducing power loss in devices for contactless data and energy transfer, a function unit is provided in a movable part which ascertains the value of the current loss of a voltage regulator. This value is then either stored in memory or compared with a command value. A stationary part can read out this value or receive a signal if the command value is exceeded, which indicates to it that the energy supply must be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5450076
Abstract: Devices for contactless data and energy transfer include a stationary part having at least one coil for data and energy transfer, and a moveable part having at least one coil for data and energy transfer and having at least one memory unit. A method for reducing power loss in the devices includes transferring a test data word from the stationary part to the moveable part at a maximum energy, in an initializing mode, storing the transferred test data word in the memory unit of the moveable part, subsequently reading a test data word out of the memory unit of the moveable part and comparing the transferred test data word and the read-out test data word in the stationary part, reducing an energy supply if the transferred test data word and the read-out test data word match, and raising the energy supply by a defined amount and ending the initializing mode, if the transferred test data word and the read-out test data word do not match.

  • Patent number: 5440302
Abstract: An apparatus for contactless data and energy transmission includes a stationary part and a movable part. The stationary part includes coils and an oscillator connected to the coils for contactless power transmission and data transmission to the movable part. The oscillator produces a reference oscillation as well as an information oscillation upon which a phase displacement relative to the reference oscillation is imposed as a function of data to be transmitted. The movable part includes other coils. One of the coils of each of the parts forms a first pair of coils through which the phase-displaced oscillation is supplied and another of the coils of each of the parts forms a second pair of coils through which the reference oscillation is supplied to the movable part. The movable part also includes a demodulator circuit connected to the other coils for receiving transmitted oscillations and recovering the data from the phase displacement.

  • Patent number: 5349173
Abstract: An apparatus for contactless data and energy transmission includes a stationary part having at least one coil for data and energy transmission, and an oscillator connected to the at least one coil for energy transmission. A movable part has at least one coil for data and energy transmission, at least one rectifier device connected downstream of the at least one coil, and at least one charge capacitor connected to the at least one rectifier device for carrying a pulsating operating voltage. One pair of the coils is used for energy transmission and one pair of the coils is used for data transmission. The coils of the movable part are arbitrarily associated with the coils of the stationary part. A device is disposed in the movable part for transmitting data from the movable part to the stationary part, by returning a portion of energy received through an applicable one of the coils of the movable part, modulated in accordance with a data signal, through another of the coils of the movable part.

  • Patent number: 5329274
Abstract: An apparatus for contactless data and energy transmission and includes a stationary part having device for transmitting and receiving data and device for generating energy. A movable part has a plurality of rectifier devices each with at least one output and modulators each being connected downstream of a respective one of the rectifier devices. A first pair of coils is connected to the device for transmitting and receiving data and to the rectifier device for transmitting data from the stationary part to the movable part. A second pair of coils is connected to the device for generating energy and to the rectifier device for transmitting energy from the stationary part to the movable part. The coils in the stationary part are arbitrarily associated with the coils in the movable part, and data is transmitted from the movable part to the stationary part by a load variation at the coil of the movable part not being used for energy transmission.

  • Patent number: 4516113
Abstract: Semiconductor circuits for the automatic generation of tone sequences of different tones. A bistable switch having a control input activated by start signal controls a voltage stabilizing circuit which in turn controls an RC-oscillator. Several frequency dividers are driven by the oscillator for producing divider outputs as tone signal outputs furnishing individual tone frequencies corresponding to the tone sequences to be produced. A general cycle control has inputs controlled by the first divider output. Modulator modules driven by the cycle control and by the tone signal outputs, are connected to the digital-to-analog converters which produce tone signal outputs that correspond to the individual tone frequencies. The digital-to-analog converters have outputs that are jointly connected to an electro-acoustic transducer, such as a loudspeaker.
