  • Patent number: 9676489
Abstract: A device for attaching an aircraft engine to a pylon secured to the aircraft, the attachment device comprising a beam secured to the pylon and a first clevis mount comprising two cheeks connected to one another by a first clevis pin. A second clevis mount is secured to the engine and comprises two cheeks connected to one another by a second clevis pin. A shackle is rotatably connected to the first and second pins by first and second spherical joints. The attachment device further comprises at least one pair of washers positioned around one of the pins, one washer on each side of the shackle, and separating the shackle from the cheeks of the clevis mount bearing the one of the pins. The shackle, in its extreme positions of rotation about the one of the pins passing through the two spherical joints, coming into contact with the washers.

  • Patent number: 9279362
Abstract: A method determining a rate of recirculated exhaust gas (EGR rate) at an inlet of a cylinder of an internal combustion engine at a moment t, the exhaust gas being conveyed in a recirculation duct connecting an exhaust line of the engine to an intake line, and the EGR rate being equal to the ratio between flow rate of the recirculated gas and total gas flow rate in the intake line at a location of the intake line in question and at the moment in question. The method: a) determines at which moment t_intro preceding the moment t the gas, having arrived at the inlet of the cylinder at moment t, was fed into the intake line; b) determines the EGR rate at an outlet of the recirculation line to the intake line at the moment t_intro; and c) determines the EGR rate at the inlet to the cylinder at moment t based on the EGR rate at the outlet of the recirculation line to the intake line at moment t_intro, as determined in b).

  • Patent number: 9002622
Abstract: A device for controlling fuel injection in an internal combustion engine of an automobile, the internal combustion engine being connected at an inlet thereof to a fresh air intake pipe and at an outlet thereof to an exhaust gas discharge pipe including a catalytic converter, an exhaust gas partial recirculation circuit connecting the discharge pipe to the fresh air intake pipe. The device includes a mechanism determining the amount of unburned fuel in the exhaust gases, a mechanism determining the amount of fresh air taken into the internal combustion engine, and an electronic controller determining the amount of fuel to be injected depending on signals received of the determined amount of unburned fuel and the determined amount of fresh air taken in.

  • Patent number: 8910510
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for diagnosing the performance of a catalytic converter (3) of a petrol automobile onboard the vehicle, the catalytic converter being mounted on the exhaust line (1) of the vehicle, wherein said method comprises placing two oxygen probes (5, 6) on the exhaust line (1) upstream and downstream from the converter (3), respectively, analysing the signals (7, 16) thereof, and comparing the signal (16) of the downstream probe (6) with a threshold in order to carry out a passive diagnosis during a first period of the lifespan of the converter (3), after which, during a last period of the converter (3) lifespan, an intrusive diagnosis of the converter (3) performance is carried out using the two probes (5, 6) and a diagnosis automaton, by measuring the oxygen storage capacity of the converter (3).

  • Publication number: 20110190975
Abstract: A method for monitoring the pressure in a tire of a vehicle wheel, including measuring the wheel speed, to detect a loss of pressure using inexpensive components, and to produce a highly robust diagnosis due in particular to: calculating a first sum of the speeds of the left front wheel and right rear wheel and a second sum of the speeds of the right front wheel and left rear wheel, calculating a difference equal to the first sum minus the second sum, and comparing an absolute value of the difference with a threshold, such that an absolute value greater than the threshold denotes detection of a loss of pressure in one of the tires.
