Abstract: A method for securing a security tag into an article of clothing includes positioning an end of the security tag into a first opening to an interface space between two layers of the article of clothing. The two layers are fixedly connected by one or more opposing connectors that are spaced apart in a manner to form the interface space sized to receive the security tag. The security tag is fully moved into the interface space. Also described herein is a security tag specially configured for placement into the interface space between two layers of the article of clothing.

Abstract: A flexible security tag includes: an elongated inlay portion; a loop antenna mounted on the elongated inlay portion; an electrically-conductive member longitudinally extending across the elongated inlay portion, spaced apart from and inductively coupled to the loop antenna; and a radio frequency identifier (RFID) circuit mounted to the loop antenna. The flexible security tag is encapsulated within an elongated textile protective sleeve.

Abstract: The present invention describes a process of production carotenoids in improved fermentation conditions of selected bacterial strains constitutively over-producing carotenoids or mutants thereof, purifying and isolating a specific crystalline carotenoid, preferably beta-carotene, for its use in the feed, food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors. The present invention also describes a method for obtaining mutant strains constitutively overproducing carotenoids from naturally occurring bacterial strains, permitting the selection of mutants with high carotenoid yields and specificity towards a specific carotenoid. Additionally the invention describes the use of this method on obtained mutant strains for further improvement thereof.

Abstract: A filter cartridge which has an insertable center tube including an upper part (13) and a lower part (14) which can be coupled together in the cartridge by a snap fastener (21). The snap fastener (21) is configured such that it can be made without undercuts by simple injection molding dies. Therefore the filter cartridge with the center tube according to the invention is very economical.

Abstract: A filter arrangement with a cellular structure in which a plurality of filter chambers extend in the direction of the medium to be filtered. There is a filter cloth or fabric attached to each of the two sides of a cell frame which closes the filter chambers on both sides. The filter chambers are each provided with a filling of predominantly active charcoal granules. To achieve a simple and advantageous structure of the filter arrangement, the cellular structure is in the form of a rectangular cell frame each with rectangular filter chambers, preferably made of synthetic resin. Appropriate, right-angled partition walls inside the cell frame and the installation of reinforcement members can result in filter chambers of optimum size.

At least one buttressing element is provided to support the filter medium at the clean air side. The knife-edge buttress is further provided with a support shoe disposed thereon such that the shoe supports the filter element.

Abstract: An air filter for an internal combustion engine having a housing 10 with an air inlet 11 on the raw air side and an air outlet 12 on the clean air side. The air outlet has a tubular projection 27 extending into the housing 10 on which a filter insert 15 can be removably fastened. Air passes through the filter insert 15 radially from the outside in. To seal the filter insert 15 on the tubular projection 27, a radial gasket 23 is provided which has an attachment portion clamped by an inwardly extended flange on an end plate 19 of the filter insert, and which has a seal portion with a sealing area arranged adjacent the attachment portion.
