  • Patent number: 8224674
Abstract: A method and system for issuing an insurance underwriting instrument using at least one computing processor. The system includes a computer processor and a first and second query-able plurality of memory locations storing data indicative of images of a plurality of forms associated with a particular type of fidelity or surety bond and data indicative of policies respectively. The system further includes a user interface for inputting data indicative of an insurance client and of the fidelity or surety bond. A calculator application is included which automatically calculates a premium for the insurance underwriting instrument based on the input data using the computer processor. The system includes software for selecting a sub-set of the data indicative of the images and software for automatically rendering the bond to be issued using the data of bond customer.

  • Patent number: 7430516
Abstract: A method for issuing an insurance underwriting instrument using at least one computing processor. The method includes identifying data stored in a plurality of memory locations and being indicative of a select one of a plurality of customers; receiving data indicative of an insurance instrument to be associated with the select customer; and automatically calculating at least one rate associated with the insurance instrument using the data indicative of the customer and data indicative of the insurance instrument. At least one of a plurality of forms for the insurance instrument is selected using the data indicative of the insurance instrument. And, the at least one form is automatically rendered using the at least one rate, the data indicative of the customer, and data indicative of the insurance instrument. The calculating and rendering are performed using the at least one computing processor.

  • Publication number: 20070071518
Abstract: In accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, a system is provided for fusing an unfixed toner image to a substrate comprising a rotatable hot fusing roll and a backup belt assembly. The belt assembly may comprise a backup belt and a housing structure including a nip forming pressure roll. The backup belt may be wrapped about the housing structure including the nip forming pressure roll. Preferably, the pressure roll applies a force to the belt so as to form the sole nip region between the rotatable fusing roll and the backup belt.

Abstract: In accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, a system is provided for fusing an unfixed toner image to a substrate including a rotatable hot fusing roll and a backup belt assembly. The belt assembly may include a backup belt and a housing structure having a nip forming pressure roll. The backup belt may be wrapped about the housing structure including the nip forming pressure roll. The pressure roll includes a crown shape and the housing structure preferably includes structure for creating a generally uniform tension across the length of the belt in a direction transverse to a process direction.

  • Publication number: 20070071475
Abstract: A method of controlling throughput of media passing through a heat fixing device includes the steps of initially conveying media to the heat fixing device at a nominal interpage gap, and counting a number of substrates conveyed through the heat fixing device. After a predetermined number of substrates have been conveyed through the heat fixing device, a temperature related measurement is obtained at the heat fixing device; and the interpage gap is increased when the temperature related measurement is a predetermined value. The interpage gap may be increased a large amount for a temperature related measurement corresponding to a narrow media, and the interpage gap may be increased a small amount for a temperature related measurement corresponding to nearly narrow media. The temperature related measure is obtained from a temperature sensor located in spaced relation to a temperature sensor providing a signal for controlling power to a heater for the heat fixing device.

  • Publication number: 20060018690
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus in a waste toner removal system of an image forming device includes a waste toner moving device that is movably mounted in a waste toner housing. The housing has an inlet where waste toner enters the housing. The toner moving device is movable between a first position and a second position to displace accumulated toner within the housing. The toner moving device is spring-biased toward the first position. A rotating actuator displaces the toner moving device from the first position to the second position to move the toner in the housing away from the inlet. The toner moving device is also self-cleaning via vibration and impact movements.

  • Publication number: 20030233661
Abstract: This invention discloses a system for processing multimedia content from multiple sources. The system can adjust the viewable size of a video stream as well as control how additional customized graphics and text are integrated together to produce a single multimedia output stream. The layout and content of the output is completely configurable to accommodate text (ex: notices, scrollers, tickers), images (ex: logos, advertisements, banners), audio, and streaming video (ex: movies, cable, satellite, games).
