  • Patent number: 12156572
Abstract: A strap may have a strip of material. A flexible magnet and other layers may be embedded between outer layers of the strip. The outer layers may be formed from leather or other natural materials, fabric, polymer, or other materials. The strap may have a snap mechanism that removably couples the strap to the item. The strip may have left and right portions that are coupled together using sliders and the snap mechanism. The sliders may be fixedly attached to respective end portions of left and right portions of the strip. A first of the sliders may have a slot that allows the first slider to slide along the right strip portion and a second of the sliders may have a slot that allows the second slider to slide along the left strip portion so that the length of the strap may be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 11962162
Abstract: An accessory device is disclosed. The accessory device may include multiple pockets, or sleeves, designed to carry items, such as an electronic device and a user's personal items (e.g., credits cards, cash, etc.). The accessory device also includes a magnet embedded in a back section, with the magnet designed to align an inductive charging mechanism that can charge the electronic device's battery when the electronic device is positioned within the accessory device. To improve charging efficiency, the back section also includes a structural layer designed to keep the back section flat when the electronic device is positioned within the accessory device. The structural layer can hide/obscure the magnet and other structures. Also, the accessory device includes a wireless communication circuit that can communicate with a corresponding wireless communication circuit in the electronic device, and provide information (e.g., openings and dimensional information of the accessory device) to the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20240094771
Abstract: A case for an electronic device such as a head-mounted device may have a main housing portion that separates an interior region from a surrounding exterior region. The main housing portion may have an opening through which the head-mounted device is received into the interior region. Flexible protruding portions of the main housing portion may form a flexible tab and a flexible flap. To make size adjustments to the interior region, the flexible tab may slide within an opening in a cover. The cover may be configured to move between an open position in which the opening is uncovered and a closed position in which the head-mounted device is enclosed within the interior region by the main housing portion and the cover. Deformable protrusions in the case may be used to seal openings in the head-mounted device when the device is in the interior region.

  • Patent number: 11838716
Abstract: An electronic device such as a pair of headphones may be configured to be worn on a head of a user. The headphones may have a headband and earcups that are coupled to the headband. The headband may have a frame and a headband frame cover that is removably attached to the frame. The cover may have protrusions, may be inflated using a pump, may include a battery and other components, and may include sensors. An earcup movement synchronization mechanism may be used to synchronize movement of a left earcup with a right earcup. A torsion spring with a stop mechanisms or other bend limiter may be configured to prevent overbending of the headband.

  • Publication number: 20220346531
Abstract: A strap may have a strip of material. Sliding clasps may be attached to ends of left and right segments of the strip. Each sliding clasp may have a slot through which one of the segments slides to adjust strap length. The strap may be coupled to an item such as a device with a battery. The sliding clasps are each in a first mode in which the sliding clasp is locked to the strip and does not allow the strip to slide and a second mode in which the sliding clasp is unlocked and allows the strip to slide. Rotational motion, squeezing motions, and/or other motions may be used to transition the sliding clasp between locked and unlocked states.
