  • Patent number: 12606296
Abstract: Systems and methods of aircraft modal suppression informed by an underlying non-uniform vertical turbulence model and uniform lateral turbulence model. The systems and methods include receiving a plurality of signals from on-board inertial sensors of an aircraft, utilizing the plurality of signals to generate a plurality of observers, utilizing the observers to determine a control law command for controlling one or more control surfaces of the aircraft, and moving the one or more control surfaces of the aircraft in accordance with the determined control law command such that lateral mode vibrations of the aircraft are diminished.

  • Patent number: 12441483
Abstract: A system and a method include air data sensors configured to detect one more characteristics of air surrounding an aircraft. At least three of the air data sensors differ in type. The air data sensors are configured to output air data. A flight control unit is in communication with the air data sensors. The flight control unit is configured to receive the air data from the air data sensors and control at least one aspect of the aircraft based on at least a portion of the air data. In at least one example, the flight control unit is further configured to vote in relation to the air data from the air data sensors.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: October 14, 2025
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Sherwin Chunshek Li, Ryan L. Pettit, Bryan A. Lopez, Robert Erik Freeman, Melville D. W. McIntyre, Leonard J. Inderhees, Russell T. Bridgewater
