  • Publication number: 20150308519
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for operating an electromagnetic pulse disconnect assembly for selectively engaging two rotating components of a vehicle drivetrain. A disconnect assembly is needed that is not powered by vacuum diverted from an engine of the vehicle, as modern engines are being developed to reduce vacuum production and remove vacuum lines for powering peripheral devices such as disconnects. An electromagnetic pulse disconnect assembly is provided that operates via pulses of electrical current and includes an electromagnetic coil for translating a clutch ring assembly and a latching ring assembly to selectively couple two rotating components.

  • Publication number: 20150300418
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a motorized disconnect operable to selectively engage and disengage two rotating components of a vehicle drivetrain. As one example, a motorized disconnect system is provided that operates via an electric motor and includes a shifter assembly with an oscillating gear track and cam profile for rotating the shifter assembly while moving it in an axial direction to selectively couple two rotating components.

  • Publication number: 20150191334
Abstract: A wireless remote forms a two-way radio frequency (RF) communication network with a winch control module that allows the wireless remote to control both the winch and additional vehicle accessories through the winch control module. Further accessory control modules allow the control of more accessories utilizing the wireless remote by way of RF communication. Feedback from either the winch control module or the accessory control module is sent back to the wireless remote to allow the operator to view the current operating conditions of the winch or accessories.

  • Publication number: 20060124427
Abstract: A wheel hub assembly is provided including a movable clutch ring for selective engagement between an engaged and disengaged position for providing driving torque from an axle shaft to a wheel hub. The clutch ring is in full-time engagement with external clutch teeth of the axle shaft and is movable to an engaged position with external clutch teeth of a coupler that is secured to the wheel hub. Furthermore, the coupler is provided with a travel limiter for preventing the clutch ring from traveling beyond a predetermined desired position along the coupler.
