  • Publication number: 20240049638
Abstract: An agricultural harvester includes: a harvester frame; an agricultural header coupled with the harvester frame, the agricultural header including a plurality of deck plates; and a control system operatively coupled with the harvester frame and the agricultural header, the control system including: at least one sensor coupled with the agricultural header and configured for: detecting a crop material condition associated with a harvesting operation, the crop material condition being a crop material diameter; outputting a crop material condition signal corresponding to the crop material condition; a controller operatively coupled with the at least one sensor and configured for: receiving the crop material condition signal; determining an operative parameter of the plurality of deck plates based at least in part on the crop material condition signal and at least one offset condition signal.

  • Patent number: 11096328
Abstract: An agricultural header includes: a header frame; at least one cutting unit carried by the header frame and including a cutting element and a driveshaft coupled to the cutting element; and a gearbox configured to drive the cutting element. The gearbox includes a gearbox output rotatably coupled to the driveshaft; and a clutch including an intermediate shaft and at least one clutch shoe rotatably coupled to the intermediate shaft and displaceable between a non-engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe does not engage the gearbox output and an engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe engages the gearbox output. The clutch is configured such that the at least one clutch shoe displaces to the engaging position when a rotational speed of the intermediate shaft reaches a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 8070570
Abstract: A spreader disk assembly for spreading crop residue such as straw discharged from an agricultural harvesting machine, and more particularly, which has a bat support mechanism that enables the bats to be quickly and easily hingedly or pivotally convertible from a deployed spreading mode to a flattened stowed mode for windrowing, which does not require removal of the bats, or the disk from the spreader. A locking mechanism is provided that enables the quick and easy conversion and securely holds the bats in both modes.

  • Patent number: 7644816
Abstract: A pivoting boot is disclosed for attachment to the unloading auger tube of combine harvesters, and serves as both a grain saving dam against unwanted grain spillage, and a directable spout. The boot permits evenly unloading grain onto, or completely filling, transportation vehicles or storage containers, without having to change the combine position, once it is staged for unloading.
