  • Patent number: 11305568
Abstract: Examples techniques to restrict unlatching of manifolds of carriage assemblies in printing devices are described. In an example, a carriage assembly of a printing device comprises a carriage structure defining an opening to house a printhead and a manifold coupled to the carriage structure. The manifold covers the printhead in a latched position and allows access to the integrated printhead in an unlatched position. A lock pin is mounted on the carriage structure, the lock pin being slideable to a first position and a second position with respect to the manifold along the carriage structure. In an example, the lock pin restricts unlatching of the manifold with the carriage structure in the second position.

  • Publication number: 20210379893
Abstract: An inkjet printer comprising an ejection device, movably provided along a print zone and a spit zone, a printer controller to control ejection device maintenance, a spittoon located in the spit zone to receive maintenance ink ejected by the ejection device in the spit zone when ejection device maintenance is performed, is provided. The printer controller is to set a random spit position within the spit zone at which the ejection device is to eject the maintenance ink into the spittoon and to cause the ejection device to move to the set random spit position and to eject the maintenance ink into the spittoon at the random spit position.

  • Patent number: 11173734
Abstract: In an example, a space adjuster may comprise a cam shaft, a first fin disposed on a first end of the cam shaft, a second fin disposed on a second end of the cam shaft, opposite from the first end, and a cam lug disposed on the cam shaft in between the first end and the second end. The first fin may have a first profile to transfer a first longitudinal force into a first rotation of the cam shaft, and the second fin may have a second profile to transfer a second longitudinal force into a second rotation of the cam shaft, opposite to the first rotation. A cam surface of the cam lug may be spaced increasingly farther away from a longitudinal axis of the cam shaft throughout the first rotation of the cam shaft.
