Abstract: An aspirator tip for a dental aspirator comprising: an elongated hollow tube comprising a first end and a second end, the first end configured to connect to a dental aspirator unit to provide suction to the second end of the elongated hollow tube, the second end configured to be inserted into an oral cavity of a patient, an opening in a portion of the elongated hollow tube between the first end and the second end of the elongated hollow tube, a gate configured to be inserted into the opening, and an actuator configured for actuation by a single digit (e.g., finger or thumb) to insert the gate into the opening to at least partially block an airway through the elongated hollow tube.
