  • Patent number: 11584196
Abstract: A system that can selectively activate or deactivate one or more ultra-violet light sources to sanitize a portion of a vehicle. The system can include a vehicle that has a vehicle door. The system can include one or more sensors that can be configured to detect whether the vehicle door is open or closed. In response to detecting that the vehicle door is open, the system can cause the one or more ultra-violet light sources to be activated, whereby ultra-violet light is emitted by the one or more ultra-violet light sources with respect to at least a portion of the vehicle. In some instances, the ultra-violet light can be emitted across the door frame of an open door. In some instances, the ultra-violet light can be emitted within at least a portion of the vehicle cabin.

  • Publication number: 20220088249
Abstract: An autonomous seat sanitizing system for a vehicle includes a vehicle seat sanitizing system control module configured to detect a person approaching a vehicle. Responsive to a person approaching the vehicle, a distance of the person from the vehicle is determined. The distance of the person from the vehicle is compared to a predetermined threshold distance. If the distance of the person from the vehicle is less than the predetermined threshold distance, the control module determines if at least one seat in the vehicle occupant compartment is unoccupied. If at least one seat is unoccupied, the module controls operation of the vehicle to direct a sanitizing ultraviolet (UV) light onto the unoccupied seat until a vehicle door is opened from an exterior of the vehicle, or until the distance of the person from the vehicle is no longer less than the predetermined threshold distance.

  • Patent number: 11030818
Abstract: Systems and methods for presenting virtual-reality information in a vehicular environment are disclosed herein. One embodiment receives, at a first vehicle, a set of presentation attributes for a second vehicle that is in an external environment of the first vehicle, the set of presentation attributes for the second vehicle corresponding to a virtual vehicle that is different from the second vehicle and within a same vehicle category as the second vehicle; and presents to an occupant of the first vehicle, in a virtual-reality space, the second vehicle in accordance with the received set of presentation attributes for the second vehicle while the second vehicle is visible from the first vehicle in the external environment of the first vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10144374
Abstract: A vehicle can be configured to automatically provide settings for one or more components of the vehicle based on a measured anthropometric feature of a person approaching the vehicle. The vehicle can include a sensor configured to acquire data (e.g., visual data) of a portion of an external environment of the vehicle. The external environment can include a person approaching the vehicle. The vehicle can include a component that can be adjustable across a plurality of settings. The component can have a current setting. A processor can be operatively connected to the sensor and the component. The acquired data can be analyzed to measure an anthropometric feature of the person approaching the vehicle. A target setting of the component can be determined based on the measured anthropometric feature. The current setting of the component can be caused to match the determined target setting.

  • Patent number: 9891061
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for updating vehicle navigation guidance systems. The methods may comprise receiving an audible emergency broadcast, and scanning the audible emergency broadcast for a plurality of predetermined key terms. Upon detecting a presence of at least one of the plurality of predetermined key terms, the method may include analyzing an additional portion of the audible emergency broadcast for vehicular traffic information. The method includes determining at least one incident location to have a potential of being affected by the vehicular traffic information. The method may include providing an update, alert, or information related to the vehicular traffic information to at least one vehicle within a certain distance to the incident location, or to at least one vehicle currently routed through the incident location.
