  • Patent number: 11936412
Abstract: Various embodiments provide for a bike-supported communication network that manages and facilitates communications between components of an electric bicycle and a wireless network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods determine that a mobile device associated with the electric bicycle is in contact with a mount disposed on the electric bicycle, and cause a lock assembly to unlock the electric bicycle in response to the determination that the mobile device is in contact with the mount.

  • Patent number: 11614769
Abstract: Consensus protocols for asynchronous networks are usually complex and inefficient, leading practical systems to rely on synchronous protocols. The invention proposes an approach to simplify asynchronous consensus by building it atop a novel threshold logical clock abstraction, allowing the consensus protocol to operate in “virtual synchrony.” Leveraging accountable state machine techniques to detect and suppress Byzantine nodes, and verifiable secret sharing for random leader election, we obtain simple and efficient protocols for asynchronous Byzantine consensus.

  • Publication number: 20210089676
Abstract: The present invention concerns a computer-implemented method for secure data exchange between a sender (A) and a recipient (B), wherein the method is performed by the sender (A) and comprises encrypting data using a symmetric key k, creating a write transaction TW, wherein the write transaction TW comprises information usable to derive the symmetric key k and an access policy identifying the recipient (B) as being allowed to decrypt the encrypted data, providing the recipient (B) access to the encrypted data, and sending the write transaction TW to a first group of servers (AC) for being stored in a blockchain data structure maintained by the first group of servers (AC).

  • Patent number: 10581613
Abstract: Data storage and retrieval systems, methods, and computer-readable media utilize a cryptographically verifiable data structure that facilitates verification of a transaction in a decentralized peer-to-peer environment using multi-hop backwards and forwards links. Backward links are cryptographic hashes of past records. Forward links are cryptographic signatures of future records that are added retroactively to records once the target block has been appended to the data structure.

  • Publication number: 20160110668
Abstract: Record management of a business unit is aligned to a digital records policy of a business enterprise. The digital records policy may require process, technology and cultural changes to shift from paper to digital records management. Paper intensive processes tend to have a number of economic, environmental, and operational disadvantages. In addition, government regulations are increasingly requiring businesses to be able to locate and retrieve information quickly. An implementation document contains information about a business process so that a business process supporting digital records may be compared with a digital records policy of the business enterprise. If there are any gaps between the business process and the digital records policy, an action plan may be constructed in order to eliminate or mitigate the gaps. Also, the economic benefits for a business unit migrating to digital records may be analyzed by a business case wizard tool.
