    Abstract: The use is disclosed of one or more of(a) a polyquaternary compound,(b) a thickening agent or dispersing agent,(c) a nonionic surfactant having from 3 to 12 alkylene oxide, preferably ethylene oxide, units,(d) a simple quaternary compound in an amount at least equal to the amount of isothiazolone in the solution,to prevent stripping of isothiazolone in an isothiazolone-containing solution used as an anti-sapstain agent in wood treatment, where the solution is recurrently contacted with wood.
