Abstract: A transporting accessory for a vehicle that includes a base frame that is mountable to the vehicle. The base frame includes two support members. The accessory also includes a second frame that has two extension members. Each extension member is slidably supported by one of the support members. A trolley or carriage is pivotally mounted to the second frame. The carriage has two parallel side arms. Each arm has a guide device. A transport device with one or more tracks is engaged to the carriage. The transport support is movable along a path of travel between a first, retracted position and a second, extended position. The invention also provides a method of loading and unloading cargo from a transporting accessory for a vehicle.
