  • Patent number: 8337009
Abstract: A method of forming a nip with a skewed transfix roll includes positioning a first axis of rotation of a transfix roll at a skewed angle with respect to a second axis of rotation of an image drum, forming a nip with the skewed transfix roll and the image drum, and operating the printer with the nip formed with the skewed transfix roll.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 18, 2009
Date of Patent: December 25, 2012
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Bryan James Roof, Laurence Lynd
  • Publication number: 20120321995
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for forming electrodes on a substrate has been developed. The method includes operating a first plurality of printheads to eject a first ink onto a first portion of the substrate and operating a second plurality of printheads to eject a second ink onto a second portion of the substrate. The first ink includes a proton transport material and an electron transport material, and the second ink includes the proton transport material, the electron transport material, and a catalyst.

  • Patent number: 8197024
Abstract: An inkjet printer has been developed that reduces the effects of show-through by depositing ink onto a cooled print medium. The inkjet printer includes a printhead and a cooler. The printhead is configured to eject ink onto an ink receiving member as the ink receiving member is transported along a portion of a media path through the inkjet printer. The cooler is positioned proximate the media path to cool the ink receiving member prior to the printhead ejecting ink onto the ink receiving member.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 29, 2009
Date of Patent: June 12, 2012
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Gregory Joseph Kovacs, Bryan James Roof, Michael D. Thompson, Edward B. Caruthers, Lawrence Floyd, Jr., Shawn R. Rowan

  • Patent number: 7505723
Abstract: A fusing assembly includes a fuser member, such as a rotatable fuser roll which, during operation, contacts a sheet of print media to fuse a marking material to the sheet. A stripping apparatus applies gas to the sheet to assist in detaching the sheet from the fuser roll. The stripping apparatus includes a fluid pathway which connects an associated source of pressurized gas with at least one orifice adjacent the fuser roll. A pressure sensor senses a pressure of the gas in the fluid pathway intermediate the source and the at least one orifice during operation of the fuser roll.
