Publication number: 20230385014Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an audio communication device with novel visual indications and adjustable muting. In examples, an audio communication device is provided. The audio communication device includes at least one processor, and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the audio communication device to perform a set of operations. The set of operations include generating a first visual indicator. The first visual indicator corresponds to audio of one or more users. The set of operations further include receiving a user-input, muting a microphone region of the audio communication device, based on the user-input, and generating a second visual indicator. The second visual indicator replaces at least a portion of the first visual indicator. The second visual indicator corresponds to the muted region. The first visual indicator is indicative of a quality of the audio.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2022Publication date: November 30, 2023Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: David Justin RAPPAPORT, Russell I. Publication number: 20210373758Abstract: Methods and system directed to displaying title bars at a display of a large-format display are provided. More specifically, the methods and systems enable a large-format display, which may be touch-enabled, to detect where a user is interacting with the display and to provide interactive controls in an accessible location to the user. For instance, the display may detect that a user is interacting with a particular quadrant of the display based on a user gesture on or near the display, based on a user interaction with an application window on a portion of the display, based on sensor detection of a user position relative to the display, or other suitable method of detection. Accordingly, the large-format display may provide interactive controls based on the detected quadrant, gesture location, or other interaction with an application window.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 28, 2020Publication date: December 2, 2021Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Bryan K. Patent number: 10417991Abstract: A system for modifying a user interface in a multi-display device environment described herein can include a processor and a memory storing instructions that cause the processor to detect a number of display screens coupled to the system. The plurality of instructions can also cause the processor to split an image to generate sub-images based on the number of display screens and a bezel size corresponding to each of the display screens, the sub-images to exclude portions of the image corresponding to the bezel size of each of the display screens. Additionally, the plurality of instructions can cause the processor to resize each of the sub-images based on a display size of each of the display screens and display the image by transmitting the sub-images to the display screens.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2017Date of Patent: September 17, 2019Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Matthias Baer, Bryan K. Mamaril, Kyle T. Kral, Kae-Ling J. Gurr, Ryan Whitaker
