    Abstract: A treemap visualization system and method which provides for real time visualization of variable adjustments to represented criteria in a treemap. The treemap visualization system and method is implemented on a computer system and employs a database having a plurality of data items to be visualized. A treemap visualization layout may be formulated with tiles based on data elements for each data item. A variable modifier module enables the adjustment of weighting of the data elements for each data item when the treemap visualization layout is formulated. Data items are sorted into discrete levels so that a plurality of stackable tile layers can be formulated. Alerts are generated when layout events are related to the physical properties or positioning of the tiles in the treemap visualization layout.

    Abstract: A self-adaptive rezoning process that employs a system of rezoning indicators for the automated detection of distorted elements during deformation. Linear isoparametric quadrilateral elements using selective reduced integration are employed to predict the remeshing points based upon finite-element modeling assumptions of structural problems involving large deformations and strains. Element geometrical measures are characterized in terms of aspect ratio, taper ratio and skew angle to permit the degree of element distortion expressed in these terms to be compared to an ideal element similarly expressed. The finite-element mesh is evaluated, element by element, to quantify the geometrical relationships required to properly quantify the amount of distortion.

    Abstract: A leak detector for detecting a leak of an electrically conductive fluid m a vessel comprises an electrically conductive wire having a melting temperature less than an internal temperature of the vessel and greater than the external temperature of the vessel. The wire is stitched to a heat resistant fabric to hold the wire in place and to thermally and electrically insulate the wire when no leaking fluid is present. Detector means electrically connected to the wire outputs an electrical signal if the wire is fused by leaking fluid permeating the fabric.
