    Abstract: A control system is provided for a generator set coupled to supply electrical power to an external load. The control system may have an input device configured to receive input indicative of a desired adjustment to the external load, and a power control device operable to affect a power output of the generator set. The control system may also have a controller in communication with the input device and the power control device. The controller may be configured to determine a change in the power output of the generator set corresponding to the desired adjustment to the external load, and to operate the power control device to implement the change in power output of the generator set before the desired adjustment to the external load is initiated.
