Abstract: A dermal imaging system coordinates operation of an illumination unit, one or more lenses, and a camera to capture a sequence of images of an area of interest on a skin surface. The system automatically tags each image in the sequence of images. The tag for each image identifies a light source, an illumination angle, and a filter selected for capturing the image. The system automatically selects at least one image from the sequence of images, and analyzes the selected image from the sequence of images to provide a recommended skin disease diagnosis.

Abstract: A lithium-ion battery generally includes an electrode pair, an electrolyte, and a separator. The electrode pair includes a first electrode and a second electrode, wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are of opposite polarity. The electrolyte is configured to allow movement of ions between the first electrode and the second electrode. The separator is between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode generally includes an active layer and a current collector. The active layer comprises a plurality of composite electrode pellets that are non-hollow and include an active material and a binder material. The active layer is provided on a first side of the current collector. The active layer has an overall porosity of greater than approximately 40%. The overall porosity includes both intra-pellet porosity and inter-pellet porosity.

Abstract: Particulate material concentration of a dispersion is detected by providing a known amount of dispersion including particulate material, a solvent, and other optional components; centrifuging the dispersion and separating the particulate material from the dispersion; drying the particulate material; and weighing the particulate material to determine a particulate material concentration of the dispersion.
