Abstract: This invention relates to a space-dividing wall panel system having a plurality of base panels which are serially connectable one with the other to define a vertically enlarged wall supported on a floor. Each base panel is defined by at least one horizontal box-beam rigidly connected to a pair of laterally spaced apart vertical uprights which are connected at the opposite ends of the box-beam and have a reduced thickness compared thereto. With this clearance between the faces of the box-beam and the uprights, the box-beam, cross rails at the ends of the uprights as well as additional extension panels are formed with longitudinally extending channels which are positioned free of interference with the vertical uprights and aligned with serially-adjacent channels of serially-adjacent wall panels.

Abstract: A work station, particularly for supporting a computer, having separate front and back tops having separate powered drive arrangements for permitting independently height adjustment. The drive arrangement includes a separate drive motor associated with each top, with the motors being controlled by a controller, such as a microprocessor. The controller is preferably controlled by an operator using a portable keypad control which can be positioned on one of the tops. The controller can be programmed by the operator to permit storage of a number of predetermined height locations each defining distinct heights for both tops.

This interior channel is closed by an openable door arrangement which can be hingedly moved into an open position so as to uncover one side of the channel and permit cables to be laid directly therein. The door arrangement is externally covered by a portion of the flexible side mat which extends over the entirety of the panel side, including the door, so as to permit the portion thereof over the door to hinge outwardly when the door is opened so that removal of the side mat is not required. The side mat is formed as a continuous covering so as to avoid undesired seam or joint lines.
