  • Publication number: 20210315476
Abstract: A non-invasive drug release monitoring and quantification method and system is provided using magnetic particle imaging to monitor in vivo drug release. A living body is imaged with a magnetic particle imager after the living body has been injected with a nanocomposite composed of a biodegradable polymer shell layer containing a cluster of magnetic nanoparticles and a drug. A magnetic particle signal is detected and obtained which represents the release of magnetic nanoparticles from the PLGA shell layer, which is the result of a disassembly of the biodegradable polymer shell layer due to biological degradation of the biodegradable polymer shell layer in an acidic environment of the living body resulting in drug release and magnetic nanoparticle release. The release of the drug in the living body is quantified using a previously obtained reference linear relationship defined between the magnetic particle signal and the drug release rate.

  • Publication number: 20190275175
Abstract: The invention provides compositions and methods for visualizing particular tissues and delivering one or more therapeutics to that tissue using single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs), which are taken up and delivered to target tissues by specific monocytes in the body. The delivery of SWNT to target tissues allows the visualization of the affected tissue for diagnostics and therapy in diseases where the specific monocyte is implicated in the disease pathogenesis. These nanotubes can be conjugated to a peptide, such as RGD, which helps direct the SWNT-containing monocytes to the vascular endothelium.

  • Patent number: 7657124
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing image data/information products to customers are provided. A data management facility generates a graphical user interface that is viewed by customers on computer systems coupled to a processor of the data management facility over a network. The graphical user interface allows a customer to search at least one of stored image data/information products or algorithms, to select at least one of the stored image data/information products or algorithms, and to select a desired geographic location. The data management facility generates a data/information product based on the selected image data/information product and the selected geographic location, and receives a request for an image data/information product, if a desired image data/information product cannot be found in the data management facility. In addition, the processor sends the generated image data/information product to the customer and bills the requestor based on the generated image data product.

  • Patent number: 5022016
Abstract: A clock with an area (12b) for a display item. The frame (11) is made of a flexible, durable transparent material, so that the display item may be changed with ease. The clock hands (15a) and (15b) are on the outside of the unit to facilitate the setting of the clock and if needed, the replacement of clock hands (15a) and (15b).
