At least one magnet is carried by the inner surface of the lead fitting. The end of a lead wire is fixed to the inner surface of the lead fitting. A conductive epoxy applied to the inner surface of the lead fitting contacts the outer surface of the pipe when positioned. The magnets hold the lead fitting in position while the epoxy cures.
