Patent number: 12054148Abstract: A cruise control interlock system detects a current set of conditions for a vehicle, compares the current conditions with cruise control interlock conditions (e.g., an adjustable threshold state of a windshield wiper system), and executes a process to deactivate the cruise control system. The process to deactivate functionality of the cruise control system may include presenting a notification to the operator to alert the operator to an upcoming automatic deactivation or to encourage the operator to deactivate cruise control. The process also may include a vehicle de-rate process (e.g., reducing vehicle speed) to induce the operator to deactivate cruise control. Deactivation of cruise control may be postponed in some situations, such as when the vehicle is ascending an uphill grade or where doing so may deactivate an active downhill speed control function.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2021Date of Patent: August 6, 2024Assignee: PACCAR INC.Inventors: Josef Lotz, Nathan Paul, Tristan Pyle, Bryan Ross

Patent number: 10028492Abstract: Operating at constant depth, various embodiments are provided equipped with automatic depth-control mechanisms in dynamic devices such as lures and carriers that acquire and maintain a constant target depth when pulled through a medium such as water. The depth-control mechanism incorporates a mechanical pressure measurement of depth using a bladder with changing dimensionality and mechanical coupling to a variable angle dive plane. The measured pressure is compared with the target depth pressure causing the dive plane angle to adjust and converge to an adjustable target depth with forward motion due to retrieval or trolling. The dive plane extension is optionally a variable angle lip or bill protruding from the front of the lure or a pectoral fin-like configuration. Multi-purpose carriers are provided that can perform various underwater sensing and measuring tasks. Included are systems and methods for using a lure or platform equipped with a depth-controlling device.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2016Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Inventors: Jeremy Adam Lehl, Michael Bryan Ross Smith

Patent number: 9883285Abstract: Devices for improving the quality of sound output by a speaker. For example, the device may act to remove ultrasonic frequencies from an audio signal prior to the audio signal being output by a speaker. In other examples, the device may act to impede the progress of harmonic distortion, intermodulation distortion, and environmental noise feeding back into the source device.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2014Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignee: RevX TechnologiesInventors: Michael Brett Butler, Dennis Rauschmayer, Bryan Ross Anderton

Patent number: 9738361Abstract: The present invention is a submersible device comprising a body encasing an enclosed compressible void capable of physically responding to changes in ambient pressure imparted by the device's depth underwater. This physical response to pressure changes actuates a dynamic dive plane. The forces imparted on the dive plane by the motion of the device through the water drives the device to seek, achieve and then maintain a predetermined depth. This device can be used for fishing applications and other underwater activities that benefit from dynamic depth control.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2016Date of Patent: August 22, 2017Inventors: Jeremy A. Lehl, Michael Bryan Ross Smith
