Abstract: A lighted bed rail may be used with a vehicle. The lighted bed rail may comprise a central tube member, a first end member, a second end member, and at least one lighting apparatus. The central tube member may comprise a first end, a second end, and a tube wall, the tube wall comprising an inner surface and an outer surface. At least one lighting apparatus may be disposed on or within the first end member, second end member, or central tube member. The lighting apparatus may be capable of projecting light onto at least a portion of the inner surface of the tube wall of the central tube member. The tube wall of the central tube member may be sufficiently transparent or translucent to allow for the transmission of light projected from the lighting apparatus through at least a portion of the tube wall of the central tube member.
