  • Patent number: 11163295
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a continuous machining process includes a robot, a machining tool, a table, and a raw parts supply mounted inside a machining cell enclosure. The table has first and second vises for holding parts. The machining tool is operated to machine a raw part in one of the vises while the robot is operated to pick a machined part from the other vise and then place another raw part into the other vise. The table can be fixed or rotatable. The robot places the picked machined parts on an exit conveyor to remove the machined parts from the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 10372108
Abstract: One aspect of the technology relates to a method for production of components of a custom structure. A design is electronically received remotely from a client, where the design has a structure having one or more three-dimensional components, and a graphic positioned on the structure. At least one two-dimensional manufacturing drawing is acquired from a database corresponding to each three-dimensional component, where each manufacturing drawing defines a cut location. In response to acquiring the at least one two-dimensional manufacturing drawings, the graphic is mapped to the two-dimensional manufacturing drawing consistently with the position of the graphic on the structure. Each acquired manufacturing drawing and the mapped graphic is electronically sent to a computer numeric control (CNC) cutting system.

  • Patent number: 8996386
Abstract: A method and system for controlling a mobile device from a head unit using voice control is disclosed. The head unit receives a graphical representation of a current user interface screen of the mobile device. The head unit than scans the graphical representation of the current user interface screen to determine the locations of potential input mechanisms. The potential input mechanisms are scanned using optical character recognition and voice commands are determined for the input mechanisms. The determined voice commands and their respective locations on the user interface screens are stored in a voice recognition database, which is queried with uttered voice commands during voice recognition.
