  • Publication number: 20240396221
Abstract: Flexible, radio-frequency transitions and electronic systems that include the flexible, radio-frequency transitions are disclosed herein. The flexible, radio-frequency transitions are configured to electrically interconnect a first electronic component and a second electronic component to facilitate radio-frequency electrical communication therebetween and include a flexible dielectric membrane and a microstrip transmission line. The microstrip transmission line is formed on the flexible dielectric membrane and includes an electrically conductive signal trace and an electrically conductive ground plane for the electrically conductive signal trace. The transition is configured to electrically interconnect the first electronic component and the second electronic component, and to permit radio-frequency electrical communication therebetween, throughout a range of transition angles.

  • Patent number: 11092704
Abstract: A system and method for making a neutron detector includes stacking anode frames and laminated frames to form a detector insert. The laminated frames are formed by laminating a foil of neutron-responsive material to an aluminum frame plated with a metal that does not react with the neutron-responsive material. The anode frames include an anode wire tensioned to a predetermined tension. The anode wires are electrically coupled to a top lid that includes an electrical connector and a gas feed through. The top lid is pressed into a tank with the detector insert.

  • Patent number: 9478865
Abstract: A configurable antenna may include a circular horn array comprising a plurality of horn antennas, a configurable waveguide in a center of the circular horn array, and a plurality of actuators. The configurable waveguide includes a plurality of retractable triangular wedges, with one side of each wedge oriented to one of the plurality of horn antenna and a corner oriented toward a center of the waveguide, wherein a circle defined by each of the corners oriented toward the center of the waveguide defines a first circumference. The configurable waveguide further includes a plurality of movable tuning rods arranged in a circle defining a second circumference, the second circumference being smaller than the first circumference, said movable tuning rods further arranged such that the movable tuning rods are between the corners the corners oriented toward the center of the waveguide.
