The folding knife also includes an outer handle including an interior side and a first pivot securing the blade to the outer handle, and the blade is configured to rotate about first pivot. The folding knife also includes a liner/inner handle which is configured to rotate about a second pivot forwardly out of the outer handle to engage the stud. The folding knife also includes a detent mechanism which is configured to releasably retain the blade in a closed/undeployed position and the liner/inner handle.
