  • Patent number: 9642338
Abstract: A controller of a training system is disclosed. In at least one embodiment of the invention, a controller defines an inner curved surface and includes a strap or clip so that the controller may be worn by the user comfortably and securely on either the backside of the hand, on the fingers, in the palm of the hand, on a wrist, arm or leg. The controller includes programmable control elements that allow a user to specify what functions are activated on a trainer by selection or depression of the control elements. In one embodiment, the controller may be programmed via a remote computing unit such as a computer or a smart phone. Alternatively, the controller can be programmed manually.

  • Publication number: 20140150730
Abstract: A training system is disclosed that includes a controller, a dummy launcher and, optionally, a bird launcher and a pet training collar. In at least one embodiment of the invention, the controller is operable to control any one of the bird launcher, the dummy launcher or the pet training collar. The system thus includes any combination of the controller, the dummy launcher, the pet training collar and the bird launcher. The dummy launcher system includes a base is that is configured to receive a portable dummy launcher that may also be removed from the base for manual operation. The system thus allows a user to select and activate a launcher and then to select the dog training collar to transmit control commands to the dog under training.

  • Publication number: 20130157628
Abstract: An electronic fence system capable of guiding animals under training to return to a predetermined restricted area is disclosed. The fence system may utilize either a plurality of loops to determine direction of travel for a receiver unit or, alternatively, a GPS system. For embodiments utilizing the GPS system, electronic fences are defined in relation to GPS location information. A lock-down mode is used to contain an animal to a very constricted area when a control command is received to initialize the lock down mode or upon a specified condition. Specified conditions include the animal approaching or entering a specified area or, alternatively, a threshold level of charge being reached for a battery that provides power for the receiver unit. A smart phone is communicatively coupled to a controller or interface device which, in turn, is communicatively coupled to a trainer/receiver.

  • Patent number: 8260431
Abstract: The pet training device comprises a handheld wireless command module, a wireless receiver module connected to an adjustable collar assembly. The wireless command module is used to select a stimulation mode, stimulation duration, a Jump mode, a Rise mode, and a stimulation intensity level through the used of one-touch digital switches located on the device front panel. The selected functions are displayed on an LCD. The stimulation commands are transmitted to the wireless receiver module where they are demodulated into control signals that trigger a shock, a beep, a vibration, or a combination thereof. When the wireless receiver is placed in the no-bark mode, the wireless receiver module will generate a shock when triggered by a bark sensor. A Jump mode is provided to instantly increase stimulation from a currently defined level. A Rise mode is provided to gradually and continuously increase the stimulation level.
