  • Patent number: 11547432
Abstract: An ultrasonic surgical instrument includes a body, an ultrasonic supported by the body, a shaft extending distally from the body and defining a shaft axis, a waveguide extending distally through the shaft, and an end effector arranged at a distal end of the shaft. The end effector includes an ultrasonic blade coupled to a distal end of the waveguide and having a primary blade treatment surface configured to treat tissue, and a clamp arm coupled to the distal end of the shaft. The shaft and the waveguide are selectively rotatable relative to one another about the shaft axis through a predefined range of angular motion between an assembly state and an operational state. In the assembly state, the clamp arm and the primary blade treatment surface are rotationally offset from one another. In the operational state, the clamp arm and the primary blade treatment surface are rotationally aligned.

  • Patent number: 10182813
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes a shaft assembly, a handle assembly, and a latch system configured to operatively couple the shaft and handle assemblies. The latch system includes shaft and a handle lock members respectively connected to the shaft and handle assemblies for inhibiting operative uncoupling of the shaft and handle assemblies. The latch member has a cam surface and a latch member. The latch member is configured to selectively move from a locked position to a released position such that movement of the latch member causes the shaft and handle lock members to disengage and uncouple the shaft and handle assemblies. The latch member is further configured to selectively move from the released position to a removal position such that further movement of the latch member causes the cam surface of the latch member to engage the cam base and urge the shaft assembly in a removal direction.

  • Publication number: 20120313320
Abstract: A game is played in rounds of battles with a plurality of dice, each die representing a character involved in the game. Each die has at least one face side and a plurality of roll sides. Each face side presents information about the character, and each roll side includes information regarding the round of the game and actions which the character represented by that die may take during a particular round. Each character has a number of life points associated with it, the life points representing the amount of damage that the character can endure before it is killed during an attack. The action taken by a player may include attacking an opponent's character in an attempt to reduce the life points of that character or healing a character by increasing its life points. Numerous other actions are possible, including casting spells to affect the status of an opponent's character or alter other attributes.
