Abstract: A bracket assembly is described. A center bracket may have two protrusions on a first leg portion and two protrusions on a second leg portion. The protrusions of the center bracket may be positioned and shaped to interface with arcuate guide slots on leg portions of a first bracket and a second bracket. Curvatures of the arcuate guide slots may be positioned and shaped to maintain the center bracket longitudinal axis at substantially the same angle with respect to the first bracket longitudinal axis as the center bracket longitudinal axis is with respect to the second bracket longitudinal axis as the first bracket and second bracket pivot over a range of angles about a point of rotation in an assembled configuration.

Abstract: A sound masking system and method for providing sound masking in networked workstations or offices. The sound masking system comprises a communication network, a plurality of sound masking devices adapted to emit a sound masking signal, and a remote controller. One or more of the sound masking devices includes a controller, and the controller includes an interface for receiving information from the communication network and a component for controlling or adjusting output characteristics associated with the sound masking signal, such as volume. The controller includes a component responsive to a user input for setting or varying output characteristics associated with the sound masking signal.

Abstract: An adjustable basketball standard includes a mast, a backboard and rim, a support arm for holding the backboard and rim, and a clamp assembly for attaching the support arm to the mast. The clamp assembly is configured to slide along the backboard to enable the user to move the backboard and rim to a desired height. Unlike many of the prior art configurations, the adjustable basketball standard does not move the backboard and rim horizontally with respect to the boundaries of the playing surface. Additionally, the adjustable basketball standard is easy to use and provides a greater variation of heights at which the backboard may be placed.
