Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and systems for dividing compiling program application functionality between computing devices for software development. One device embodiment includes a processor, memory, and program instructions. The memory is coupled to the processor. The program instructions stored in memory and executable by the processor to receive a data set and a selection of options regarding how the data set is to be compiled from a second device. Program instructions are also provided to compile the selected data set based upon the selection of options.
