    Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a fuel monitoring system for vehicles. More specifically, an embodiment of the system includes a hollow tube insertable into a filler tube of a fuel reservoir. The hollow tube has a first end defining an opening for receiving a fuel nozzle and a cap connectable to the first end. The system also includes a sensor that produces a signal representative of an amount of fuel flowing through the hollow tube.
