Abstract: Provided is a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal includes a receiving unit configured to receive GPS information from a GPS satellite, an acquisition unit configured to acquire sensing information from at least one of a speed sensor and a steering sensor of a vehicle connected through an external interface, a determination unit configured to determine whether the vehicle is positioned within at least one of a shadow area and a multi-path area using at least one of the GPS information and the sensing information, and a calculation unit configured to correct a current position coordinate value of the vehicle calculated from the GPS information using the sense information when the vehicle is determined to be positioned within the at least one area.
