Abstract: A negative electrode composition, a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery including the same, a lithium secondary battery, and a method for preparing the negative electrode composition are provided. The negative electrode composition comprises a silicon carbon composite, a graphite, and a negative electrode conductive material, wherein a BET specific surface area of the silicon carbon composite is larger than a BET specific surface area of the graphite.

Abstract: A lithium secondary battery includes a cathode having a cathode active material, an anode having an anode active material, a separator, and an electrolyte. The cathode active material comprises a lithium composite transition metal compound having Ni, Co, and Mn, and has single particles and/or pseudo-single particles. Each single particle consists of one nodule, and each pseudo-single crystal is a composite of 30 or fewer nodules. The single particles and/or pseudo-single particles have an average particle diameter (D50) of 1 ?m or more. The anode active material has a silicon carbon composite having an average particle diameter (D50) of more than 1 ?m. The average particle diameter (D50) of the single particles and/or pseudo-single particles is smaller than the average particle diameter (D50) of the silicon carbon composite.
