  • Patent number: 6690954
Abstract: A portable telephone has a for-recognition voice data storing unit for storing for-recognition voice data, a relation-to-dial information storing unit for storing pieces of dial information respectively to be used to perform a call access, a voice inputting unit for receiving a voice, a voice recognizing unit for recognizing the voice received in the voice inputting unit according to the for-recognition voice data stored in the for-recognition voice data storing unit and extracting dial information corresponding to a recognition result from the relation-to-dial information storing unit, a position detecting unit for detecting a position of the portable telephone relative to a user, and a control unit for performing a call access operation using the dial information extracted in the voice recognizing unit according to position information which is relative to the user and is detected in the position detecting unit. Accordingly, a call access processing adapted to use conditions of the user can be performed.

  • Patent number: 6253095
Abstract: When setting a call, a telephone number, a discrimination code for discriminating a telephone number from an identification number, and an identification number to unlock specified call restriction are continuously inputted by way of key operations in a key entry section for forming call-setting information the identification number is determined from the call-setting information in the control section; and the determined identification number is collated with an identification number previously registered, and if the two identification numbers are identical to each other, the specified call restriction is unlocked with call setting executed.

  • Patent number: 5805989
Abstract: The present invention aims at reducing power consumption in a radio communication apparatus having a plurality of radio sections capable of selective switching by controlling power to be supplied to each of the radio sections. To this end, the apparatus includes: a power-supply condition memory section in which conditions for controlling power supply are previously set and stored; and a control section for controlling power supply to the other radio sections based on the value of a reception-signal quality signal from a currently selected radio section and the conditions previously set and stored to the power-supply condition memory section. A reference value for controlling power supply is previously set and stored to the power-supply condition memory section as a power-supply condition. At the control section, the value of a reception-signal quality signal from the currently selected radio section is compared with the reference value previously set and stored to the power-supply condition memory section.
