    Abstract: A connector for contacting a shielding of a cable comprises a contact electrically contacting the shielding. The contact extends circumferentially around the cable and along a longitudinal axis of the cable in a mounted state. The contact has a plurality of contact protrusions protruding toward the shielding in the mounted state. The contact protrusions are disposed in a plurality of rows spaced apart from each other by a distance in a direction extending circumferentially around the cable. Each of the rows of contact protrusions has a non-zero angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cable.
