  • Publication number: 20080028965
Abstract: The invention relates to a printing form (19) to be used in a printing unit of a printing press. Said printing form (19) is embodied as a panoramic printing form (19) and supports side by side printed images of a specific number n (n>1) of printed pages having a specific format (F1, F2). The printing form (19) has a width that substantially corresponds to a number of n=3 vertical printed pages in newspaper format (F1, F2) and supports side by side printed images of n=3 pages in newspaper format (F1, F2).

  • Publication number: 20070194169
Abstract: A device is used for at least one of treating and conveying a strip of material in one of a treating and processing machine. The device includes at least one strip-treating tool which is embodied in the form of a folding cone, and one strip-treating tool which is provided as a knife. The knife and the folding cone are both transversely displaceable in the direction of travel of the strip of material by the operation of a regulating element.

  • Publication number: 20070181019
Abstract: An offset printing group is part of a printing machine which is used for printing newspapers. The offset printing group includes a printing cylinder and a transfer cylinder. The length of the transfer cylinder corresponds to at least six widths of newspaper pages. Two blankets are arranged adjacent each other on the peripheral surface of the transfer cylinder. A width of each of these blankets in the axial direction of the transfer cylinder corresponds to three widths of newspaper pages.

  • Publication number: 20070095226
Abstract: A rotary roller printing press has a printing unit for printing a web in six printed pages arranged axially next to each other. A superstructure is used to cut the web longitudinally into three partial webs. A folding installation is used to fold the partial webs and includes at least one roller for transporting the partial webs, and at least one folding apparatus. The printing unit, the at least one roller for transporting the partial webs of the folding installation, and the folding apparatus, which is arranged after in the direction of web travel, the other devices, are each separately mechanically driven by a separate drive motor.

  • Publication number: 20070012211
Abstract: At least one unit of a web-machinery, or a web-processing machine is pre-adjusted in a method which influences a longitudinal register. An adjustment value is derived for that at least one unit based on previously-obtained data. The adjustment value is stored in a machine control unit.

  • Publication number: 20060162595
Abstract: A web is guided in a processing machine by the use of a device which includes a regular device and at least one further web guiding element. These cooperate to subject the web to an offset or to a change in direction. The regular device and the at least one further web guiding element are arranged for mounting on a common guide in a direction that is transverse to the direction of travel of one incoming web.

  • Publication number: 20060144507
Abstract: A sheet combining device includes at least one former, at least one longitudinal cutter, and at least two partial web guide routes. A respective partial sheet of partial cut webs can be conveyed on each of the at least two partial web guide routes. These sheets can be combined to form a principal sheet at an exit of the sheet combining device. A stapler is provided on one of the at least two partial web guide routes and is used to staple the partial sheet which is conveyed on that guide route.

  • Publication number: 20060130682
Abstract: A printing machine includes at least one printing group, one folder and at least one turn-and-mix stage that supplies the printed web output from the printing group to the folder. A web path from the printing group to the folder, when projected into a horizontal plane, is bent or deviates in the area of the turn-and-mix stage. The turn-and-mix stage or superstructure, includes a horizontal cutting device at an input side, for use in cutting the web into at least two partial webs. At least two horizontally displaceable turning bars are provided, and the partial webs pass around these turning bars.

  • Publication number: 20050093220
Abstract: A device is used for producing folded products from sheets or partial sheets. The folding device includes a folding assembly that is provided with at least three forming hoppers which are aligned in a staggered and horizontal manner relative to one another, and laterally in the direction of sheet movement. Each of the hoppers has a width of at least two upright newspaper pages or of four printed pages lying in tabloid format. When viewed from a horizontal position, the hoppers at least partially overlap in a vertical direction. At least one of the outer hoppers is hoppers is offset vertically with respect to an inner hopper.
