  • Patent number: 9889983
Abstract: The invention relates to a (cigarette) package consisting of an outer package (10) and two inner packages (11, 12). The latter can be moved by a pivoting movement about a respective articulation joint in the region of an outer base wall (40) out of the closed position (upright within the outer package (10)) into an oblique open position. To this end a covering tab (28) which closes off the cup-shaped inner package (11, 12) on the upper face is automatically moved out of the closed position, such that the oblique inner package (11, 12) is ready for the removal of the contents of the packaging.

  • Publication number: 20150232218
Abstract: For the production of packs (10) with an outer wrapper made of sealable shrink-wrapping film, the packs (10) pass through a plurality of processing stations, for sealing and/or shrink-wrapping purposes, individually and at a distance apart from one another in cyclic fashion. In an assembly station (40), units made up of a plurality of, in particular four, packs (10) are combined to form a functional unit and, thereafter, are transported in an appropriate conveying cycle and processed simultaneously in the region of operating stations.

  • Patent number: 8528307
Abstract: A method and apparatus for filling, closing, folding and transporting away tobacco bags (10) or pouches, using a turret (24) that rotates about a horizontal axis and has preferably six mounts (28), each for one bag (10), arranged along the circumference in the region of planar wall portions (29). The bags are conveyed through a plurality of processing stations, in particular through a filling station, suction-extraction station, closing station and wrapping station, by the turret (24) with cyclic rotary movement. • Patent number: 7908825
Abstract: Cigarette packs of the hinge-lid-box type with an outer wrapping of shrinkable film are transported through a shrinkage station (22) in two pack rows (26, 27), in each case comprising individual packs. In the region of said shrinkage station, shrinkage elements, namely heating plates (24, 25; 45, 46), subject the upper side and/or lower side of the packs (10), during a standstill phase of the same, to (contact) heat. The packs (10) are transported such that the lower side and the upper side are simultaneously or consecutively exposed for contact by the heating plates.

  • Publication number: 20090197750
Abstract: For the continuous production of tobacco bags from a sheet-material web (19), the latter is, in the first instance, folded in the region of a folding device (30) to form a continuous web leg (20) corresponding to a pocket of the bag. The web (19) prepared in this way is directed through a sealing subassembly for the purpose of providing transversely directed connecting seams as a lateral boundary to the pockets of successive bags. The sealing subassembly (31) is arranged in an upright position with sealing devices one beneath the other. The web (19) is directed through the sealing subassembly (31) in an upright plane and is largely free of tensioning during the sealing operation.

  • Publication number: 20090193757
Abstract: In order to produce tobacco bags from sheet material having a pocket and a fold-over flap and a tape as closure means, the tape is applied (as are possibly further applications) to a continuous sheet-material web (22) for producing the bags by transversely directed severing cuts. The procedure here is such that the sheet-material web (22) is provided in the first instance, by folding, with a continuous web leg and then with transversely directed connecting seams in the region of the web leg, and thereafter the tape is applied to the sheet-material web prepared in this way. Bags (10) provided with a tape are then severed from the sheet-material web. The tapes are applied to the sheet-material web (22) in the region of an application station (30). Following this, the bags (10) are severed in a severing station (27).

  • Patent number: 6619012
Abstract: Apparatus for sealing thermoplastic sheet materials or for closing packs, such as bags, made of such sheet materials with the aid of heated sealing jaws (22) and mating jaws (25), which accommodate between them the sheet materials and/or folding or closing flaps which are to be connected, the (non-heated) mating jaw (25) having an elastically deformable abutment surface for the sheet materials which are to be sealed, such that any possible elevations produced by a multi-layered design of the folding or closing flaps are compensated for by the elasticity of the abutment surface of the mating jaw. The sealing jaw (22) and/or mating jaw (25) can be moved by a special, oil-free actuating mechanism which, during continuous driving, brings about a standstill phase of the sealing jaw or mating jaw, which can be moved back and forth.

  • Patent number: 6598728
Abstract: For transporting sensitive articles, in particular cigarette groups, an endless conveyor (19,20) in the form of a toothed belt (21) is provided, carry-along elements (30) for gripping in each case one article being arranged on the same. The carry-along elements (30) are positively controlled such that, when an article is received and/or the movement direction is changed abruptly, an in particular rearwardly directed compensating movement of the carry-along elements takes place.

  • Patent number: 6554026
Abstract: A valve for controlling flowing media, in particular suction air used in connection with suction heads or the like, in which closing diaphragms (17, 18) made from elastically deformable material are disposed within a valve housing (10) and are subjected to the action of compressed air via actuating lines (14, 15) in the closing or blocking direction, such that when each diaphragm (17, 18) moves into an open position, a subatmospheric pressure is generated on the side ling opposite the closing side.

  • Patent number: 6523682
Abstract: During the production of cigarette packs having an inner wrapper of thin packaging material, the blank (10) of the inner wrapper is provided with impressed lines, namely transverse impressed lines (19, 20) which delimit a base wall (11) which is first contacted by a cigarette group (23) when the latter is wrapped in a U-shaped manner. By virtue of the impressed lines (19, 20), the mechanical load forces exerted on the cigarette group during the U-shaped folding process is reduced. Furthermore, a cigarette conveyor (25) for transferring the cigarette groups (23) is driven in a non-uniform manner, i.e. at reduced speed, when receiving a blank (10), and at a correspondingly greater speed during other conveying operations.

  • Patent number: 6397559
Abstract: In the production of cigarette packs, it is necessary to form cigarette groups (10) from a plurality of cigarettes (11) arranged in layers, to be precise by virtue of the cigarette group (10) (or a sub-group) being pushed out of shafts (13) of a cigarette magazine (12) with the aid of push rods (14) which can be moved back and forth. Once a cigarette group (10) has been pushed out, the cigarettes (11) in the magazine shafts (13) drop under their own weight into the pushing-out position. By virtue of the downward movement of the push rods (14) during the return movement into a starting position, the dropping movement of the cigarettes (11) is initiated before the push rods (14) have reached their starting position.

  • Patent number: 6328152
Abstract: Apparatus or gear mechanism for producing linear movements for pushers, carry-along elements and similar elements, in particular during reciprocating movement. The pushers (24, 25) are connected to a gear mechanism (33), in the case of which use is made exclusively of rotating or circulating elements. Each pusher (24, 25) is connected to a lever (37) which is moved by the gear mechanism such that the connection of the lever (37) to the pusher (24, 25) is moved exclusively on a rectilinear path.

  • Patent number: 6205237
Abstract: Known devices for the opto-electrical scanning of individual cubic or cuboid-shaped packets 10, 19, transported at a distance from one another, have the disadvantage that they do not permit simultaneous scanning of all the packet walls. In the device according to the invention, the conveying distance 26 for transporting the packets is interrupted in the region of a testing station 27. The packets 10, 19 to be examined are moved in this region along an aerodynamic trajectory or falling distance. Consequently, all the walls of the packets 10, 19 to be scanned may be scanned simultaneously on all sides.

  • Patent number: 6044624
Abstract: Process and apparatus for producing bag packs each having a portion (10) of cut tobacco or the like. For the purpose of producing bag packs with portions (10) of different weights, the portions (10) are compressed in the region of a pressing chamber (14) such that the portion (10) which has to be introduced into the bag (11) is always of the same size--irrespective of the weight. During compaction, the portion (10) is simultaneously formatted so that it corresponds to the interior of the bag (11).
