  • Patent number: 8364565
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for managing bundle pricing of services. In one implementation, a system comprises a database for storing master contracts and billing customizing tables. The master contracts refer to the data of the billing customizing tables by means of result and condition attributes. This has the advantage that a modification of the billing customizing data, such as for the purpose of changing the bundle pricing scheme for the master contracts, does not require storage of the updated data in the database.

  • Publication number: 20060178958
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for data processing. In one implementation, a data processing system includes storage means for storing sets of account identifiers, each of the sets of account identifiers being assigned a set of control parameters. The data processing system may also include an account management system that stores account data of accounts that are identified by the account identifiers, interface means coupled to the account management system, and one or more sets of application programs that are adapted to process account data of accounts identified by at least one of the one or more sets of account identifiers using the set of control parameters assigned to the at least one of the one or more sets of account identifiers. The interface means may obtain the account data from the account management system on request of one of the application programs.

  • Patent number: 5901534
Abstract: A metal detector for detecting metal in a harvested product flow has a plurality of permanent magnets for producing a magnet field which passes through a harvested product flow region, a plurality of coils associated with the permanent magnets so that when a foreign body passes through the magnet field useful signals are produced, a signal processing unit operative for processing of the produced useful signals, a plurality of amplifiers and filters each connected to a respective one of the coils, a plurality of threshold value switches each connected with respect to one of the amplifiers and the filters and having output, an OR-circuit connected with the outputs of the threshold values, and stopping mechanisms connected with the OR-circuit.

  • Patent number: 5343676
Abstract: In a device for recognizing ferromagnetic foreign bodies, for protecting the working members of a harvesting machine, having a magnetic field generating device (9), the lines of flux of which run transversely to the direction of transport, and having assigned pick-up coils (15; 16; 17), it is intended to improve the recognition range across the entire width of the feed system, whilst keeping costs low. At the same time, it is intended better to suppress disturbance signals. For this purpose, the magnetic field generating device (9) comprises an odd number of magnetic poles (12; 13; 14), the two outer magnetic poles (13; 14) possessing the same polarity. At least every second magnetic pole (12) is enclosed by a pick-up coil (15). Expediently, three magnetic poles (12; 13; 14) are present, which are all enclosed by a pick-up coil (15; 16; 17) each. The pick-up coils (15; 16; 17) are connected up such that the induced voltages are added together.

  • Patent number: 4776154
Abstract: An agricultural machine has a machine frame adapted to move along the ground in a normal travel direction, a crop cutter on the front of the frame, and a crop comminuter carried on the frame behind the cutter. An intake device including a generally fixed feed element on the frame and another feed element displaceable on the frame toward and away from the fixed feed element is operated by a stoppable drive connected to the fixed feed element to feed the cut crop as a stream back in the transport direction to the comminuter. The displaceable element compacts the stream of cut crop against the fixed feed element. An accelerometer is connected between the displaceable feed element and the frame for joint displacement with the displaceable feed element and generates an output corresponding to acceleration of the displaceable feed element toward and away from the fixed element. The machine may also have an alarm.

  • Patent number: 4758788
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting magnetically sensible objects in an object stream longitudinally passing a predetermined location, for instance at the intake end of the conveyor of a field chopper, has according to the invention a support at the location extending transversely adjacent the object stream and having a pair of transverse ends and a center therebetween and a magnet assembly on the support having a north pole directed from between one of the ends and the center of the support transversely of the support and of the stream into the crop stream and a south pole directed parallel to the north pole from between the other end and the center of the support. The assembly forms between its poles a magnetic field having lines of force extending mainly transversely through the stream. Respective north and south sensing coils at least partially surround the respective poles so that a magnetically sensible object perturbing the field will generate respective currents in the coils.

  • Patent number: 4720963
Abstract: A hard foreign body in a stream of cut crop being moved by a conveyor in an agricultural machine to a crop comminuter of the machine is detected by first compressing the stream of cut crop transversely of its displacement direction between a pair of feed elements one of which is movable toward and away from the other and generating an actual-value output corresponding to the acceleration of the movable element toward and away from the other element. This output is compared with a set point corresponding to an acceleration level not normally exceeded by the element when the crop stream contains no hard foreign objects. An error signal is generated when the actual-value output exceeds the set point. When the error signal is issued advance of the conveyor is stopped and/or a warning is issued. The actual-value output is only generated when the acceleration of the movable feed element exceeds a predetermined limit. The actual-value output is a voltage and the set point is also a voltage.
