  • Patent number: 4087090
Abstract: An amusement device is provided with an elongated upstanding transparent tube, closed at its top and bottom, and containing a suitable projectile, advantageously a ball. A launching means in the form of a pivotal lever is provided adjacent the bottom of the tube. Ball retaining slide members are positioned at spaced locations along the tube and are adapted to be digitally moved into and out of the interior of the tube. The ball normally rests at the bottom of the tube upon the launching lever. When the lever is depressed the ball is propelled upwardly in the tube and the user then tries to digitally insert a slide member for the purpose of catching and retaining the ball as it gravitationally drops through the tube.

  • Patent number: 4061338
Abstract: A novelty coin flipping device includes an upstanding tubular member, closed at the top, and having a pivotal operating lever with a coin support pad disposed adjacent the bottom. A coin is positioned within the tubular member and normally rests upon the support pad. When the lever is depressed, the disc is flipped upwardly within the tubular member to gravitationally descend, in either a "heads" or "tails" position, upon the support pad.

  • Patent number: 4036498
Abstract: An amusement device in the form of a novelty disc manipulating device wherein an upstanding housing with transparent side walls has a narrow internal chamber through which a disc can be movably manipulated. A pivotally mounted operating lever is disposed adjacent to the bottom of the housing and includes a projecting portion which can be digitally engaged. A disc, advantageously a coin, is disposed within the chamber and normally rests on edge upon the top of the lever. At one upper corner of the housing, an angularly disposed rebound surface is provided. A support shelf is spaced somewhat beneath the other upper corner of the housing. When the lever is depressed, the disc is propelled upwardly to bounce off the rebound surface, against the top of the housing, and hopefully onto the support shelf. If the disc fails to stay on the support shelf, it gravitationally drops onto the top of the lever and the lever is again operated, until the disc is successfully positioned on the support shelf.
