The laundry apparatus further comprises a shaft coupled to the drum and connected to the drive unit via a rear wall of the tub, a bearing rotatably supporting the shaft, and a bearing housing insert-molded in the tub and securing the bearing. The bearing housing comprises a housing body, comprising a shaft insertion hole securing the bearing, formed in a cylinder shape, a first flange formed in a ring shape arranged in an outer area with respect to a radial direction of the housing body, a plurality of first connection ribs connecting an outer circumferential surface of the housing body to the first flange, and a first insertion hole disposed between the first connection ribs.

The clothes treating apparatus may include a drum having a locking tab formed by cutting a portion of an outer circumferential surface to be bendable inward towards an interior of the drum, and a balancer having a fastener that protrudes from the outer circumferential surface to hold the locking tab. The locking tab may be configured to be pushed inward towards the interior of the drum in order to be locked in the fastener and to restrict movement of the balancer in a forward or backward direction of the drum as the drum rotates.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a laundry treating apparatus capable of sufficiently wetting laundry in a drum by spraying wash water in a tub on the laundry, without a motor. The laundry treating apparatus includes a tub configured to accommodate wash water, a drum rotatably disposed in the tub, and configured to accommodate laundry, and a lifter disposed in the drum, to tumble the laundry using rotary power of the drum, wherein the drum has a drum hole communicating with an inner space of the lifter, and the lifter has a lifter hole through which the wash water, introduced into the inner space from the tub through the drum hole, is sprayed on the laundry at a predetermined position to which the drum rotates.
