  • Patent number: 11329241
Abstract: Disclosed herein are exciton-blocking treatments for buffer layers used in organic photosensitive optoelectronic devices. More specifically, the organic photosensitive optoelectronic devices described herein include at least one self-assembled monolayer disposed on the surface of an anode buffer layer. Methods of preparing these devices are also disclosed. The present disclosure further relates to methods of forming at least one self-assembled monolayer on a substrate.

  • Publication number: 20210005830
Abstract: Provided herein is an organic photovoltaic device comprising one or ore layers comprising one or more organic and/or organometallic compounds, and one or more of these layers may have a root-mean-square surface roughness ranging from about 2 nm to about 10 nm. Additionally provided is a method of manufacturing an organic photovoltaic device, and may comprise depositing one or more organic and/or organometallic compounds in one or more layers having a root-mean-square surface roughness ranging from about 2 nm to about 10 nm. Also provided is an organic photovoltaic device comprises one or more layers of one or more organic and/or organometallic compounds, the layers are deposited by organic vapor phase deposition, and the PCE may decrease by no more than about 1% after 250 hours of illumination at 1 sun intensity.

  • Publication number: 20170361354
Abstract: An organic vapor phase deposition system is provided. The system may include a main reactor defined by a main reactor wail, at least two source barrels configured to introduce at least two organic vapors into the main reactor, and a substrate stage positioned in the main reactor and at least one carrier gas injection line configured to distribute a carrier gas along the main reactor wall, which reduces condensation of the organic vapors onto the main reactor wall as the organic vapors flow toward the substrate stage. A method of fabricating an organic film using organic vapor phase deposition is also provided.
