Abstract: A vehicle driver guarding system using a vehicle telematics service and a control method thereof are provided. The vehicle driver guarding system includes: a vehicle telematics system for receiving a final destination, calculating a final destination arrival expectation time, notifying a central information center of the calculated expectation time through a mobile communication system, receiving a vehicle driver guard confirmation message from the central information center, and transmitting a response message to the received confirmation message, to the central information center; and the central information center being notified of the expectation time, transmitting the vehicle driver guard confirmation message to the vehicle telematics system when the notified expectation time lapses and then a preset time lapses, and performing a vehicle driver guarding function upon non-reception of the response message within the preset time.

Abstract: An antenna diversity device and method in a terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) is provided. In a DMB receiver, the device includes: a BER measuring unit for receiving DMB data, measuring a BER of the received DMB data, and transmitting the measured BER to a MICOM (Micro COMputer) to realize antenna diversity for securing a deviation of a reception sensitivity, which can occur when a car is moved, and a quality of reception; the MICOM for controlling a general operation of the DMB receiver, and receiving the measured BER from the BER measuring unit and controlling the antenna diversity depending on the received BER; and an antenna switching unit for sequentially switching to the antenna having the best reception state among the plurality of antennas under the control of the MICOM.

Abstract: A vehicle acoustic system with a plurality of speakers and a control method thereof are provided. The system includes a plurality of microphones installed at a listener position, and outputting an audible sound; a position selector for selecting one of audio signals; an audio measurement unit for analyzing the audio signal and generating signal level and sound image information; an audio signal generator for generating audio data; a digital signal processor for controlling a signal level and a sound image of the audio data, converting the audio data into an audio signal, and outputting the converted audio signal; and a microcomputer for receiving the signal level and sound image information, and comparing the received signal level and sound image information with previously stored reference signal level and sound image information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus for controlling an image quality and a sound field in digital format broadcasting, including a first encoder unit for generating digital audio/video codes by encoding audio/video service signals according to a preset audio/video encoding method, a second encoder unit for generating digital data codes by encoding data service signals according to a preset data encoding method, a multiplexer for generating digital data by multiplexing the digital audio/video codes and the digital data codes according to a preset multiplexing method, a transmission multiplexer for generating bit streams by multiplexing the digital data, service information, multiplexer information, and optimum sound field information and optimum image quality information in the digital format broadcasting according to a preset multiplexing method, and a digital format broadcast modulator for modulating the bit streams according to a transmission method of the digital format broadcasting, and transmitt
